World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is celebrated every 1-7 August in commemoration of the 1990 Innocenti Declaration.

This is an important guiding document created by the World Health Organisation, UNICEF and other health focused organisations aimed to protect, promote and support breastfeeding.

World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is a global campaign to raise awareness on how mother’s milk helps improve the health of newborns around the world and makes their immunity systems stronger.

Every year, a related theme is used to focus on. 2020’s logo represents the focus to support breastfeeding for a healthier planet.
